On Sunday, December 13 our second event on international cultural exchanges was held. The lecture topic was on the “World Heritage Sites in Italy” and Azuchi’s Coordinator for International Relations, Giulio, made himself available to complete the introduction of his native country’s UNESCO World Heritage sites on behalf of Azuchi’s Association for International and Cultural Exchange.
By making large use of Powerpoint slides, he presented sites in Central and Southern Italy not only by providing detailed descriptions but also by making it possible to “feel” his home country. 26 sites were introduced, including Rome, his hometown, Naples and the Amalfi Coast. The participants showed a lively interest by making very many questions.
Finally, Italian Christmas games were introduced and participants had the chance to enjoy playing “Tombola” and “Sette & Mezzo.” Winners were awarded typical Italian food products. While eating Italy’s Christmas cake, the Panettone, everybody had the chance to chat with Giulio and enjoy the time spent together.
